About Us
PT in the D was born out of a desire to allow everyday athletes, aka busy adults, find a space and community that provides that "3rd place" outside of work and home to be able to focus on themselves, even if it's only for 1-2 hours each week.
Our training philosophy revolves around making fitness and exercise less intimidating and more enjoyable for our clients. Our goal is for our clients to reach their goals. Many people feel the pressure of what they are "supposed to do" to reach their goals, but we shift the focus on what clients enjoy doing combined with what is realistic for their current abilities, fitness level, and lifestyle. With that adjustment, we find most of our clients stick with their workout programs longer and maintain a consistent training schedule longer than they would on their own or what they ever have in the past.
Not everyone can work out 6 days a week and meal prep meals daily, which is okay. Our goal is to take the pressure off the client and find a plan that creates habits that are a sustainable part of their lifestyle, for a long term sustainable change. Above all else, we continue to help Detroiters stay healthy as long as possible to live the active lifestyle they desire, and deserve.
