2021 PT in the D Client Spotlight January

Today marks the start of our 8th!! year in business!

The pic you see was taken on day 1, with our first client in the studio. It's crazy to look back and see where we were at then (didn't even have most of our equipment yet, everything is laying on the ground if you look close) and think about how fast the 7 years have gone by. We owe much of our success to our great clients that show up and trust us to support them with their health and fitness each and every week.

Given the tumultuous year that was 2020, we are still standing and ready to move forward. With so many of our clients still doing virtual training from their own homes, we are trying a few different things to keep our PT in the D community connected. Each month in 2021, we will be doing a client spotlight to talk about some of the ups and downs our clients have experienced since Covid hit in March, and how they hope to move forward! We hope this is a small reminder that others are going through some of the same challenges you face each day.

No better person to kick off our new spotlight than Client # 1!  She is still hanging tough, getting stronger each year. Going through 2 knee replacements and everything else life has to throw her way, she still makes moving, walking, and staying strong a priority. We could all learn a lesson on showing up with a positive attitude each day through the aches and pains.

From Susan....

"This time of Covid has been difficult in so many ways. One of the things things that has helped me get through is what the Japanese call      “forest bathing”. I walk outdoors every day, usually three miles. I’m an east sider, so I’m close to nice parks on Lake St. Clair in the Jefferson-Chalmers area, Belle Isle, and the Riverwalk downtown. I have a dog who is a more pleasant canine when she gets a walk, so that’s a big motivator. We’re both better off!!

My biggest struggle has been eating too much junk food. I try to eat healthy, not too much alcohol. But sometimes the current situation seems overwhelming and I cave...

I’m excited about continuing my zoom workouts with Robert, pining to get back to workout in the studio with him. Who ever thought I’d be saying that!? I’m proud that I’ve been consistent in doing my home workouts that he “prescribes” for me. I don’t have specific goals, like lifting a certain weight or number of reps. Robert always seems to know how to challenge me to do more. I’d like to continue to stay strong and healthy as I “age gracefully!”

Thanks to everyone.  We look forward to the start of another year and always appreciate all the support we've gotten from you all!
