Doing your best each day, even when some days you may not feel your best, can definitely separate those who find success and those who struggle. Not many people would have the resolve to show up when their joints are telling them to stay home! Kathi has been able to work through the ups and downs that are often times out of her control and stay consistent. Here is a bit about her story...
"I have been working out in group sessions at PT in the D since it opened 8 year ago. Due to rheumatoid arthritis, I could no longer run and needed something to keep me active. Strength training on my own made me nervous, but so did some of the personal trainers I had witnessed over the years at the gym! I was lucky enough to have a friend recommend Robert. Having a knowledgeable trainer who not only customizes workouts for me, but who listens to me and can adapt my workouts for my condition as needed, is critical. I have had a lot of ups and downs, which can be incredibly frustrating. Since the beginning the trainers at PT in the D have been willing to work with me through each challenge to keep me moving and getting stronger. Honestly, I'm stronger than I ever thought I could be.
PT in the D is a consistently positive force in my life, providing motivation on good days, on rough days, and through every fitness barrier, whether that be my arthritis, long work hours, or that random twisted ankle I seem to have every other year. During COVID, the at-home/virtual workouts and fitness challenges even managed to keep me going strong three days a week, which still amazes me since I hate working out alone. And now, both Robert and Shawn are both helping me work through a hybrid workout plan as I transition back to more in-studio workouts again. They are there every step of the way for me and I couldn't appreciate them more!"
