While it may sound like a broken record or a useless cliche, in the fitness and health world hard work and consistency really do pay off. Moe is an example of what you can do if you keep the right mindset, stay focused on the big picture, and when the time is right push a little extra to hit your goals. Here is a bit more about her story....

"I started at PT in the D in 2019 in my late 20s. I had been running for several years but had started to feel some aches in my body from running and my sedentary office job. Since I started working out with Sean, I have gained so much strength in my shoulders, core, lower back and I no longer feel any aches or pains. PT in the D was also such a life saver during the pandemic when they switched to virtual training sessions. I was able to remain active and maintain the strength I had built up over the past year. And once we got back to the in-person workouts, Sean helped me build more strength in my legs which helped me complete my first half marathon in 2022. One of the things that I love about the workouts is the accountability, which was so crucial last year when I was in the process of planning my wedding. It was so much easier to keep showing it up even when I was exhausted because I knew Sean and my workout buddies were waiting for me.

This year, I have been able to get back to setting new fitness goals to lose some weight. I'm down 14 pounds since January and a large part of that is thanks to Sean and PT in the D. Again the accountability of having to weigh in every 2 weeks helps me stay on track with my nutrition. Sean always has good advice if I hit a wall and has given me an at home workout routine to get in an extra day of weight training. Having the at-home workout from PT in the D really helped me avoid feeling overwhelmed at the gym. I also love working out with three other people who currently have or have had similar goals in the past. They are always really encouraging, full of good advice, and great to complain with if Sean has given us extra hard work outs that month. I have been able to make so many positive health gains the last 4 years, and I could not have done that without Sean or the larger PT in the D community. I am so grateful to have found them!"
